One month ago we celebrated Easter. One month ago we bought a bonnet for Michaela, and Easter lilies for me and I hauled out Andrew's sorbet-hued dress shirt. One month ago my mom and I planned special meals, I read about Christ on the cross and the stone being rolled away from the tomb, and tried to convey the importance and abundant joy of Easter to my 3 year-old. It was a wonderful weekend. Beautiful weather, great rejoicing, sweet family memories, but perhaps the greatest lasting fruit from it all is the fact that Michaela now often adds to my prayers, "And thank you that Jesus died on the cwoss." Amen sister.
Oh, and one month ago (of course) I took a number of pictures. Here are some highlights!
Egg-coloring with Nani happened beautifully. This was M's first time and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I also thoroughly enjoyed it and ended up re-coloring most of M's eggs after she had lost interest. We used a new technique which brought some fun results: rubber bands. So cool. Anyway, here are Sophie's toes with our bowl full of pale eggs.

Easter morning broke clear and warm! These arrows led Michaela to...
This basket nestled in our over-achieving chives.
Hooray for Easter baskets! M, of course, was so taken with the whole bonnet idea that she had it on from the moment her feet hit the floor in the morning. As you can see, me and Sophie are still in PJ's...
And I'm checking my watch with a furrowed brow as the minutes before we have to leave for church quickly evaporate.
Oh girlies in bonnets. Too cute.
I told you the shirt looked like sorbet.
M was also quite taken with the whole candy-in-the-morning thing...yum.
Sophie just tends to be taken with everything. Our little cheerful soul.
My bonny lass with her basket. A small bleating lamb with a blue ribbon would have completed this picture well...don't you think??
Thanks for travelling back in time with me.
