Now that the end of June is in sight, I'll finish up our.... May Day! May Day! We still have big enough news to go backwards, then we'll go forward or more current anyway. We returned home from Cape Cod just in time to support Andrew through his FINAL final exam and then celebrate Michaela's 3rd birthday! Here's some great evidence of some great times :-)
This photo has two noteworthy items. 1. The petal pink leotard. This was a birthday present from us along with an understated sheer pink dance skirt. Of course it was so exciting that M had to wear it all morning until...2. She helped me make her own birthday cake...and got to lick the beaters and got chocolate all over her new petal pink leotard. I made a cake from scratch (for the first time) and it was way too dry, but with the layer of pink peppermint icing and icecream on the side...we managed just fine
More of the same from a different vantage point.
After a family birthday breakfast with chocolate chip pancakes we planned a small party for the evening. Just a few friends including a dear sister, Casey. Who is shown here assisting M opening up a package from my sister-in-law and Fam containing these amazing items....!!
Taa-Daah. Let's get to the garden in style!!!
As for the par-tay, M specifically wanted party hats and I could only find Sponge Bob, so Sponge Bob it was! Sophie didn't seem to mind.
Bayleigh (ever-faithful) didn't seem to mind (?) either.
The cake in all it's glory. When I placed it in front of the 3 year old she caught her breath and then exclaimed, "Oh! Fank You!!" I secretly hope she never learns that "TH" sound.
Hooray Birthday! Our friend, Eamon, graciously launched Sophie into the photo...stellar!!
A week and a half later we had another BIG celebration with Andrew graduating from WTS. A's parents came in for the festivities which was celebration enough for the girls. They looove their Mimi and Papa!! We really had a wonderful time.
Despite the graduation ceremony taking place right during naptime, M help up fantastically.
The drumstick pit-stop helped, of course!
Pete and Keri made it heroically, even though their car had been in the shop the morning of!!
A walked across the stage with great rejoicing and even though we weren't supposed to clap until everyone in his program had crossed the finish line, M screeched out, "YAY, DAD!" It was perfect.
Grace upon Grace. We are so proud!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We couldn't have done this without you two!!! (A's parents)
Or you, Poppa and Marmie (not pictured)!!!
And Sophie, you know, hun, you played your own part in this whole process. You helped us rely on the LORD's strength much more than we would have otherwise, so I guess you deserve a thanks too...and sweet dreams :-)
It was a great day! And a great May!
