soon s.i.x.

This darling of mine now has pink sunny cheeks and her hair is already more blonde after a couple of weeks of sunny days here. BUT this photo couldn't get lost. It's stark, yes, but I have a thinker and a dreamer on my hands and I think this shot communicates some sweet depth and complexity of a little soul. One month from today she will be 6 years old! 6. Sophie told me today, with hand motions, to "take a deep breath and consencrate" (concentrate). I need to heed her advice again this moment to wrap my head around 6 whole years knowing my Michaela Joy. Today we embraced much beauty at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens and I was so proud of how many flowers and trees Michaela knew. Yes, learning to read has been slow going, but she can identify: tulip, daffodil, azalea, hydrangea, bluebell, willow, red bud, Japanese maple, bamboo, forget-me-nots, dogwood, bleeding heart, iris, marigold, snapdragon, lily...to name a few.

 I delight in her person.

Grateful for Spring launching a love-assault of colors, blooms, pollen, and GREEN our way!
