Catching Up: August into September 2009

August through the first week of September was busy and fun-filled!!! Here are a bunch of photos to tell the wedding story of my sister, Hannah and her groom, Matija!!

But first, here's little Hannah Bean 22 years ago! Just wait until you see her on her wedding day!!

We went up to Vermont a good two weeks before the wedding festivities and had a blast with Hannah and Matija and then my parents and then Matija's parents (from Croatia) and various other family members. It was quite an experience in the joys of community living. I think we had about 6 crazy days and nights where there were 18 or more people staying on the property. Too fun.

This photo SO captures my mother...if you can see her facial expression, she is laughing over the state of the poor kite that we attempted to get up in the air with no wind, of course...all for Michaela's entertainment

There are some REALLY good ice cream places in Vermont! We enjoyed a number of them.

The wedding day finally arrived...clear and blue and about 70degrees. Gorgeous. Here is the reception site in the back yard behind my grandparent's farmhouse. So many people worked to make these tables beautiful!

The ceremony was held at the top of a meadow with a fabulous view of Vermont in all it's green mountain finery. Here is brother Pete escorting my two grandmothers. Aren't they dear?!

Me and Michaela processing down the grassy knoll. This little girl did SO well. She walked with such precision, pride, and poise. What a joy.

Waiting up front...I made the hydrangea bouquets in the background that morning with blooms from a local bush!

Here comes the bride, wearing my mom's wedding dress! Escorted by my dad out of their vehicle (family-owned 1929 Packard).

The happy couple.

Family shot :-)

And finally the par-tay! Andrew wore hats of videographer, sound guy, and DJ for the event and this photo captures his fabulous multi-tasking ability. Made me proud!

Whew. That was a lot of photos for one post. Hope you enjoyed a taste of this most-happy day!!
