Catching Up: September

We returned from the wedding festivities joyously weary and had a few recovery days before Andrew jumped into his school semester. These final two semesters of his program are heavily weighted with more specific counseling classes (ex. Marriage and Family Counseling). He is learning a lot, really enjoying the material, and Michaela and I are gleaning what we can. We're very proud!

Here's a few September highlights:
A's birthday on the 11th. Michaela really loves birthdays and helped pick out this ice-cream cake in the shape of a football! Hooray!

After a few summer colds and illnesses, little M developed a keen interest in all-things-doctor and thus would create stethoscopes out of anything (including thin air). We thought a real one might be fun though, as well, and asked Mimi to see what she could find. Well, Mimi's sister is a nurse (Thanks Aunt Pam!!) and we scored this lime green REAL stethoscope from her. It's fabulous. Here's the doc with her patient on the examination table. Hours of fun.

Although it was September, we had some summer-like days and desires still lingering so we did things like go to the Jersey Shore one more time (just a girls trip!) and make our own ice-cream for a couple last hoorahs!!

Michaela anchoring while me and my dad crank!

We had a "glory day" at the beach. Such pristine beauty, great waves, a great picnic, pure fun.

October News next!
