Will you be mine?...Valentine

I was hoping to get this post out while it was still February at least, but alas the first of March came too soon...not really though. I'm thrilled for March. Michaela woke up this morning and whispered to me, "Spring is coming"........ But I'll stop there and go back in time to our Valentine's celebration. I have wonderful childhood memories of February 14th. My mom would always make it a special day with hysterical homemade Valentines and red and pink decor. I want my kids to have the same joyful memories soooo,       

I decorated....

Bought a few fun little gifts, including red heart undies for Michaela and a new travel mug for Andrew....

M and Nani had a nice morning read (adorned in their red and pink) while waiting for the quiche to finish cooking.

M also got these sweet new shades!

Andrew sported a red T-shirt for the occasion...

And later in the day M wanted to put on a different Valentine outfit, so I obliged and dressed Sophie up in pink too.

My two precious Valentines...oh my heart...they're cute

 

Finally, I had to post this too...another gargantuan snow man (or beast?) with a red cap (trash barrel). He greeted us on our afternoon walk. Impressive.
