In other news...

First, Sophie has discovered her feet and she loves them. In the past two weeks they alone have provided hours of entertainment and joy (for observers and participant). These photos are a bit blurry because I sort of had to sneak them, but you'll get the idea.

Here is one fully encompassed by this little one's huge mouth

"Hey, Mom, can you let a girl alone?"

On it's way up and...pull that heel, Sophie...

There ya go.
Oh and yesterday, Sophie had a well-visit to the Doc and while she was just above the 50th percentile for height and weight, our doctor noted that if there was a percentile measurement for length of foot, our girlie would be off the charts! Go figure.

Second piece of news: my 60 year-old father can still do a headstand. He's had an extremely busy month of travel and speaking engagements so last week he had just gotten home and wanted to spend some time with the girls in their space...our attic house. He and Michaela started off reading books while I was whipping up some grub, but obviously such a sedate activity wasn't cutting it soooo they opted for gymnastics. I'm not sure how my pops actually got to the place of offering to do a headstand himself, but he did and we all cheered...loudly.

M is "helping" to get Grandpa's legs up

Shock and Awe

 "Me too!"

Reading after headstands helps get all that blood flowing back where it should be.

The End
